The AW Gifts Himalayan Salt Cooking Plate is a rectangular slab hand-carved from natural Himalayan pink salt. It can be heated for grilling and searing, or chilled to present dishes such as sushi, cheese, fruit, desserts and appetisers. It measures approximately 30 x 20 x 5 cm. As a natural product, each plate has its own colours and mineral patterns.

HOW TO USE

Heat the plate slowly to reduce the risk of thermal shock and cracking. Start with low heat and increase the temperature gradually in stages. Never place a cold or damp plate directly onto intense heat.

Once heated, lightly brush the surface with oil if required and place the ingredients directly on the slab. The entire plate becomes extremely hot, so always use heat-resistant gloves, suitable utensils and a strong heat-safe support.

Allow the plate to cool completely before cleaning. Scrape away food residue, then wipe it with a damp cloth or rinse it very briefly using minimal water. Never soak the plate or clean it with soap, detergent or in a dishwasher. Dry it immediately and store it in a cool, dry place.

Small cracks and surface changes are normal. Avoid sudden temperature changes, excessive moisture and direct flames unless your appliance manufacturer confirms compatibility. Due to the plate's substantial size, always use appropriate support when lifting or serving.
