 Hypothyroidism occurs when the thyroid gland does not produce enough hormones, so the way the body consumes energy is affected. Hypothyroidism, unlike hyperthyroidism, represents the inability of the thyroid to produce thyroid hormones.

Symptoms associated with hypothyroidism are fatigue, depression, muscle or joint pain, dry hair and skin, weight gain, muscle cramps, sensitivity to cold, constipation or bradycardia (slow pulse). If hypothyroidism is not treated in time, the symptoms can become more severe. More memory loss, slowing of thought processes or frequent depressive states may occur. Iodine contributes to the normal production of thyroid hormones and to the normal functioning of the thyroid gland. Do not use simultaneously with other products with high iodine content.
